QUEENSBURY --- Donna J. Mitchell, 69, of Briwood Circle, Queensbury, lost her ten year battle with Lymphosemia Leukemia Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born April 19, 1946 in Hudson Falls, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Leah (Schermerhorn) Nims.

Donna graduated from Glens Falls High School, Class of 1965.

After seven years of dating, Donna married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" M. Mitchell on June 6, 1987, at the Community Chapel of Queensbury, spending 35 wonderful years together.

Following many years of dedicated service, Donna retired in 2007 from C. R. Bard.

Some of her enjoyments included cooking, sewing, painting, going to Casino's, cruises, watching her favorite soap operas, and playing BINGO. She worked a variety of jobs, including waitress, cook, and convenient store manager.

Above all, her family meant the world to her and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by a sister, Betty Beecher.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Robert "Bob" M. Mitchell; four children, Tammy-Sue, Mark, Tyler, and Kelly Willett; six grandchildren, Jessica, Robert, and Caitlin Staunches, and Ty, Mark, and Christian Willett; five great-grandchildren, Myia and Kyianna Condon, Persophanie Rose Titus, Aaron Jackson Jr., and Carter Johnson; a sister, Sandra Turpin; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special pets, Needer, Precious, and Bear.

At her request, there will be no services at this time.

A gathering to celebrate Donna's life will be held at a later date at her home.
