Obituary

GANSEVOORT --- Dorothy M. Ingraham, 85, of Selfridge Rd., passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, with loved ones by her side.

Born November 30, 1937, in Glens Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Bethel Joy and Marion Louisa (Harrington) Call.

Dorothy was a graduate of South Glens Falls High School class of 1956.

On June 12, 1957, she married George Lawrence Ingraham at South Glens Falls Baptist Church.

Dorothy loved to be outdoors, camping and spending time with her family. She also really enjoyed drawing and painting, sewing, being a Sunday school teacher and a Christian school supervisor, but more importantly babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also a member of Faith Baptist Church in Warrensburg and formerly of First Baptist Church in South Glens Falls.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than 58 years, George L. Ingraham, and her two children, Lawrence George Ingraham, and Lynne Marie Hopkins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Lee B. Call (Maxine Call) and their children, Andrew and Timothy, and Sarah E. (Call) McCollum; her children, Lorrie Joy Silver (Ray Hamblin), Scott Ingraham (Correna Ingraham) and Daniel Ingraham; her grandchildren, William Silver (Christina Silver), Jennifer McDonald (Drew McDonald), Hannah Curl (Billy Curl), Josh Ingraham (Jen Ingraham), Jacob Ingraham, Jesse Ingraham and Jermey Ingraham; her great-grandchildren, Elena Silver, Alice Silver, Izelia McDonald, David McDonald, Alexis Curl, Benjamin Curl, Connor Curl and many more; her nieces, Lisa William and husband, Dale along with their daughters, Becca and Kali Williams, and Melissa Lombardo and her husband, Tom along with their 3 children, Anthony, Tommy and Jenna Lombardo, and Amanda (McCollum) Diamond; and many more; and not to forget her cat, Gizmo..

A memorial service will take place Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 4 Burhans Ave., Warrensburg, N.Y. 12885, with refreshments to follow.

A graveside ceremony will take place on Monday, October 16, at 2 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to caregivers, friends and family that helped care for Dorothy.

In loving memory of Dorothy, contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 4 Burhans Ave., Warrensburg, N.Y. 12885, to be donated to the H.E.L.P. Ministries for bibles.
