GLENS FALLS --- Dorothy M. Parsons, 71, of William St, Glens Falls passed away Friday May 8, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born Dec. 16, 1943 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Myron and Gladys (VanSchaick) Sweet.

Dorothy attended St. Mary's School in Glens Falls. For many years, she worked at J & J Lingerie on Sagamore St., also in Glens Falls.

Some of her enjoyments included taking walks, crossword puzzle books, church sales, and reading. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy took much pride in donating to many charities including veterans, SPCA, wildlife, and March of Dimes.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by a brother, Robert Sweet and a sister, Katherine Pridemoore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Martina and Craig Parsons; five grandchildren, Nicole Johnson, Adam (Sara) Johnson, and Emily, Ashley, and Lauren Parsons; three great-grandchildren, Kenna Klaesi, and Mia and Scarlet Johnson; a sister, Katherine Pridemoore; two brothers, Myron (Angie) Sweet and Robert (Vernelle) Sweet; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.

Burial will follow at Griswold Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
