GANSEVOORT---Edward T. Walsh, Jr., 63, of Mott Rd., Gansevoort, unexpectedly passed into our father's loving arms Friday, June 7, 2013 from his beloved home.
Born Nov. 19, 1951 in Cohoes, N.Y., the eldest son of Edward T. Walsh Sr. and Pauline (Lajuanese) Walsh.
Edward was a graduate of SUNY at Albany and took Computer Science classes at Siena College.
He was a retiree of Momentive Performance in Waterford and General Electric of Schenectady. Edward was a devoted member and usher of Pine Knolls Alliance Church in South Glens Falls. His greatest joy was being around his grandchildren, computer repair, and listening to Christian music.
Edward is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nancy Walsh of Gansevoort; a daughter, Heather Walsh and her son, Zachariah; a son, Shane Walsh and wife, Stacy, and their children, Lukas, Hannah, and Andrew; his parents, Edward and Pauline Walsh of Niskayuna; two sisters, Tara Peterson and husband, Craig, of Schenectady and Lisa Crandall of Cohoes; two brothers, Terrance Walsh and wife, Linda, of Delmar, and Michael Walsh of Pennsylvania; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call upon the family Tuesday June 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will take place Friday, June 14, at 11 a.m. at Pine Knolls Alliance Church, 614 Gansevoort Rd., South Glens Falls, with the Rev. Bill Church, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
