Warrensburg --- We lost the most caring, loving man we have ever known. Edward Carl Wells, Jr., 68, of Warrensburg, went into the arms of the Lord on February 1, 2019, at Glens Falls Hospital, surrounded by family. He struggled with lung cancer for many years.
Born on April 7, 1950, in Thurman, NY, Edward was the son of Edward C. Wells, Sr. and Grace (Garvin) Wells.
Edward attended Warrensburg Central School. He then worked for the Warrensburg Highway Department for over four decades.
Edward happily married his beloved wife, Margaret (Wood) Wells, over 40 years ago.
Eddy would help anyone, whether he knew them or not. He loved his little dog, Princess, and all animals. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his brother, Nobel Counter; sister, Theresa Keech; also his adopted daughter, Christina Prosser, and his great-grandson, Dominick Prosser.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Margaret Wells of Ticonderoga; his friend and long-time caregiver, Carrie Tower-Prosser of Warrensburg; Carrie's children, Amanda Prosser and her husband, Richard Prosser, and Carrie-Jane Prosser, also of Warrensburg; Carrie's grandchildren, Damian Prosser, Dylan Prosser, Desirea Prosser, Dymonn Prosser and Audrey Schwarz, all from Warrensburg; his great-grandchildren, Livia Prosser and Damion Prosser Jr.; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will take place 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Flossie Gage-Bates officiating.
Burial will be in the spring.
