Obituary

LAKE GEORGE --- Edward B Willigan Jr., 71, of Sullivan Dr., Lake George, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 25, 1941 in Albany, he was the son of the late Edward B. Willigan Sr. and Daisy (Jackson) Willigan.
Ed married the love of his life, "Katie-Did," Kathleen Willigan, on Nov. 13, 1965 at St. Alphonsus Church. They most recently attended Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation.
Ed earned his Associates Degree from Hudson Valley Community College.
After 50 years of dedicated service, Ed retired as owner and president of John V. Warren, Inc.
Some of his enjoyments included boating, woodworking, taking exceptional care of his home, "the cabin," and riding his John Deere while maintaining his beautiful lawn. Above all, Edward loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was a longtime member of Northeast Subcontractors Association, Mechanical Contractors Association of the Capital District, and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Kathleen Willigan; four children, Patricia (Dave) Stimpson, Edward (Christina) Willigan, Michael (Briana) Willigan, and Casey Willigan; and 9 grandchildren, Lexy, Ben and Brandon Stimpson, Katie, Emily, Anna and Thomas Willigan, Nathan and Morgan Willigan.
Friends may call upon the family Monday, Nov. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. at Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Aviation Rd., Queensbury, with the Rev. James Mackey, retired, officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd., Queensbury.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nursing staff on the Oncology Floor of St. Peter's Hospital.
