QUEENSBURY --- Eileen Sain, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 28, 1951, in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Peter and Joan (Brown) Gunn.

Eileen loved her family fiercely, including the family dogs who brought her endless joy and laughter. She was amazingly generous and kind, and also a fighter when it came to what she believed in and those that she loved. Eileen loved her home and always made it beautiful, welcoming and cozy, whether it be a tiny apartment or the hard-earned house in which she passed. While her smile, kindness, humor, and feistiness will be missed endlessly by all who knew her, her legacy will continue in the ways she enriched our lives and the love she so freely gave.

In addition to her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her stepmother, Leonora Pecoraro; sister, Gloria Gunn; and her beloved dog, Oscar.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Terrence Sain; children, Jennifer Sain and her husband Saverio Castellana, who Eileen loved as her own son; sisters, Maureen Gunn Clennan, and Theresa Giordano; brother, Glenn Gunn; and beloved pets, Brandi, Baxter, Murphy, and Riley.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
