SOUTH GLENS FALLS---Eleanor Mary Lemery, 82, of Lamplighter Acres, passed away Friday morning, September 14, 2012 at The Pines Nursing Center in Glens Falls.
Born March 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Reidar and Elizabeth F. (LeClair) Olsen.
Eleanor married Charles E. Lemery, Sr. on February 16, 1947. They were married for 53 years before Charles passed away on April 9, 2000.
For many years, Eleanor was a hostess at the Blacksmith Shop Restaurant in Queensbury. She was also employed for some time at Montgomery Ward and Glens Falls Hospital as a patient account representative.
In addition to her parents and husband, Eleanor was predeceased by one daughter, Patricia Mullen, a grandson, Scott Chenier, and two sisters, Patricia Arcuri and Shirley Peck.
Survivors include four daughters, Michele Hughes and her husband, Gary, of Queensbury, Cynthia Wasson and her husband, Stan, of Queensbury, Judith Viger and her husband, Phil, of Gansevoort, and Marianne Rogge and her husband, David, of Pilot Knob; three sons, Charles Lemery, Jr. and his wife, Doris, of Queensbury, Ronald Lemery and his wife, Cheryl, of Virginia, and Michael Lemery and his companion, Donna St. John, of Queensbury; also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Friends may call upon the family Wednesday, September 19, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Anselment, Pastor Emeritus, officiating.
Interment will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
