"I'm Reaching for Jesus' Hand" by Elizabeth Finch
The tomb would not hold Him; Jesus lives!
Therefore, even though guilty, I am forgiven.
He was persecuted, beaten, and tried for me.
The Master heard my plea, whispering my name,
He answered my prayer, thereby setting me free.
Time has passed, still the Cross stands steadfast,
Promising Satan's defeat, his collapse complete.
Because a locked room could not keep Jesus out.
Perhaps you have cried out, "It's no use! I am too lost!"
Perhaps it was when you felt a tug, a voice whispering, "Peace be with you!"
I'm reaching for Jesus's hand, walking humbly at His side.
Justified by His mercy, drenched in His Living Water,
That was found on my knees at the resurrected Kings' feet.
Where he answered my plea and set me free.
I'm reaching for Jesus' hand,
For now, I clearly see that He is all I need.
