UPDATED FUNERAL NOTICE - A memorial mass for Elizabeth Kenny will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation with Father Busch officiating.

QUEENSBURY -- Elizabeth Leffler Kenny, 95, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.

Betty was born in Brasher Falls, New York on April 5, 1921 to Ernest and Bernice Gray Leffler.

She married Michael H. Kenny on April 6, 1940; celebrating 43

years of marriage until Michael passed on March 8, 1984. They moved to Queensbury where Betty cared for her family and home. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, playing cards, reading, and traveling with her family. She volunteered for Warren County Office of the Aging and attended Our Lady of The Annunciation in Queensbury.

Survivors include her children: Gail DeMarco of East Greenbush, Robert Kenny of Queensbury, Patricia Herchenroder of Guilderland, Gloria Guernsey (Donald) of Broadalbin, Kevin Kenny (Pam Weed) of Scotia, and Katharine Kenny of TN; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by her son-in-law Andrew DeMarco; daughter-in-law, Barbara Parsons Kenny; and siblings: Evelyn Brown of Bloomingdale, NY and Herman Leffler of CA.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Rosewood Rehabilitation in East Greenbush for their loving support, tender care and kind devotion shown to Mom since February of 2014.
