Elizabeth A
Kilmartin
May 27, 1932 — Apr 29, 2017
GLENS FALLS --- Elizabeth Kilmartin, 84, known to most as "Betty" or "Gram" passed away April 29, 2017 at the Stanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Huntingtion, Vermont, the daughter of George Cutter and Mary Suprenant.
While Betty's children grew, they spent a lot of time camping and enjoying the backyard pool with the neighborhood children. A tradition that continued with her own grandchildren who were never far away, next door in fact.
Betty was known for her many years of running the family restaurant, "Kilmartin Corner Café" which she ran with her husband.
Most recent, the light that brought a smile to her face was her great grandson Brodys visit. He shared many pictures and stories of his new baby cousin, "cockoobird" as Brody refers to Betty's youngest great grandson.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband, Alanson; her daughter, Donna Langiano Kilmartin; her sister, Marie Huntington; her brother, Bud Cutter; and her daughter-in-law, Angela Edmunds Kilmartin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas Kilmartin and his son, Zack; her son, Bruce (Cindi) and their son, Chad (Kara) and their infant son, Cooper Clifford; their daughter, Marikka Kilmartin and her son, Brody.
Calling hours will take place Saturday, May 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Church of Pine Knolls Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at the Stanton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for their years of dedicated care.
In loving memory of Betty, contributions may be made to a fund set up at Glens Falls National for Betty's great grandson, Cooper Clifford to help offset medical bills.
Condolences may be sent directly to the funeral home, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
