A graveside service for Elizabeth Eva LaPlanche will take place Tuesday, April 12, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Lake George.

LAKE GEORGE --- Elizabeth Eva LaPlanche, 84, of Thomson Avenue, Lake George passed away Feb. 20, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Hammond) LaPlanche.

After 39 years of dedicated service, Elizabeth retired from the old Glens Falls Insurance Co.

Some of her enjoyments included playing the flute, and filling in crossword puzzles. She also loved to take rides and walks.

Elizabeth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lake George.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Bills-Baker, and a brother, William Joseph LaPlanche.

Survivors include her two sisters, Beatrice LaPlanche of Lake George, and Helen Sitterly of Ocala, Fla.; also a special nephew, Donald H. Sitterly and his wife, Theresa, Hudson Falls, as well as many other
nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At her request, there will be no public services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in her memory to a charity of choice.
