UPDATED SERVICE INFORMATION : A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11a.m. at Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation, 448 Aviation Road, Queensbury, New York 12804, with the Rev. Joseph Busch.

QUEENSBURY - Elizabeth A. Parrish (Szostak) is pictured here on her 100th birthday celebration July 17th, 2023. She was the fifth of seven children born to immigrant parents, Frank Szostak and Agnes (Vancel) Szostak. Elizabeth was born in Ticonderoga and grew up on a family farm on Notre Dame Street extension. She was the last surviving member of the Hudson Falls graduation class of 1940.

After graduation, she worked at GE during WWII. After the war she married returning veteran Robert Parrish in 1949. Elizabeth was predeceased by her siblings, Charles Szostak, Veronica Clute, Helen Szostak, Stanley Szostak, Stella Dowmont and Joseph Szostak. She is survived by two children, Nancy Wilson (Richard) of Queensbury and David Parrish of Cheyenne WY. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kristin Pike (Dr. Daniel) of Dover PA, Lauren Kolak (Lewis Esq) of Frankenmuth MI, Eric Wilson (Sara) of Fairfax VA, James Wilson (Emily) of Kent WA and Kraig Parrish (Shelby) of Cheyenne WY. Her lineage also includes 10 great grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. She will be interred with her husband Robert at the Gerald Solomon Saratoga National cemetery.
