GLENS FALLS --- Elliott Peter "EP" Eldridge, 74, passed away at Albany Medical Center on August 23, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born January 26, 1949, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Elliott and Jane (Slavin) Eldridge.

Mr. Eldridge enlisted in the United States Army in 1966, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam era. After his discharge he worked in the Glens Falls Hospital Emergency Room for many years.

He married the love of his life, Shirley Scoville on February 14, 1999.

In his spare time, Elliott loved listening to old music and strumming his guitar. During football season, he would shout at the television, routing on his favorite team, New York Jets.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents, William and Clarice Slavin and Cortland and Clara (Eldridge) White; sisters, Susan Crawford and Patricia Fisher; and his stepson, Philip O'Connor.

In addition of his wife of 24 years, Shirley Eldridge, he is survived by his children, Jeff (Tracey) Eldridge, Jason (Erika Williams) Eldridge, and stepdaughter, Rachel (Dan) Mardon; granddaughter, Ashlee Eldridge; and siblings, Richard (Rose) Eldridge, Nancy Spannbauer, William (Eileen) Eldridge, and Mary (Steve) O'Connor; numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, life-long friend, Jeff Breed and friend Frank.

Per Elliott's wishes, there will be no calling hours.

The family will hold a private graveside ceremony at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
