HUDSON FALLS – Eric Bruce Hunter, age 73, went home to his Heavenly Father, Wednesday, March 16, 2016, after battling Esophageal Cancer.
He was born April 21, 1942 in Glens Falls NY. After graduating high school, Bruce joined the Air Force and worked in Supply and Logistics in Anchorage, Alaska where he met his soul mate of 47 years, Janet Michaelson.
After they were married they returned to NY where Bruce was employed by Hercules and Ciba Geigy.
Later, he drove the FAME bus for Glens Falls City Transit, transporting disabled people to receive the medical care they needed.
Bruce was an avid lover of the Adirondack mountains. He grew up on Hunt Lake in Corinth, NY. He remembered his time hunting, fishing, sailing and swimming fondly. He also enjoyed kayaking, biking and long walks with his wife Janet.
He looked forward to traveling to Hawaii and Florida every winter to visit his daughters.
Bruce was a loving devoted family man and wonderful friend. His eternal reunion with his wife Janet, and daughter Christine brings us all comfort.
Bruce is predeceased by his loving wife and soulmate, Janet Clara Michaelson; daughter, Christine Hunter Kubricky; mother, Dorothy Dayton Hunter; father, Eric A. Hunter; and brother-in-law, Robert Buttles Sr.
He is survived by his daughters, Tiffanie A Hunter and Michelle Hunter Russo; a son-in-law, Scott Kubricky and his wife, Julie Jardine Kubricky; sister, Salli Buttles; niece, Beth Dowd; nephews, Robert Jr., Bruce, and Bart Buttles; and 14 adoring grandchildren; Jacob, Quincie, and Forrest Kubricky, Alexis and Tyler Santiago, Sophia and Adrianna Russo, Johnathan, Caleb, Daniel, Sarah, Gideon, Seth Jardine and Mary Jardine Brayton.
He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.
A celebration of life service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 20 Rockwell Road, Queensbury, N.Y. on Thursday, March 24th, at 6:00pm.
