Obituary

Warrensburg - Ernest W. Brown 84, passed away peacefully Jan. 1, 2019, the day after his 62 nd wedding anniversary at The Pines of Glens Falls.

He was born on June 23, 1934 in Glens Falls and was the son of Charles and Edna Brown. He graduated from Warrensburg Central School then served in the Marine Corps. He worked and retired from the NYS Highway Department, and also was a member of the Warrensburg Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He was well known for his music. He played many different instruments, piano being his passion. He played at Stony Creek Inn, Trout Lake, and many other places throughout the years.

In addition to his parents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins, he was predeceased by his three brothers, Charles, John, and Paul. Also, a grandson, Nicholas Bodenweiser; nieces, Suzanne (Smith) LeClair and Terri LaPoint; a nephew, Billy Brown; a sister-in-law, Sarah "Sally" Frye; and a brother-in-law, Steve Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carolyn "Anne"; sons, Mike, Ernie (Debby); daughters, Debbie, Charlene "Booboo" (Danny) and Katy (Carson); grandchildren, Kristina, Kolby, Kellen, Kelsey, and Kristopher; plus several great-grandchildren and one coming soon; sisters, Doris Smith, Faye (Ray) Wagus, Helen (Pete) Dykeman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thanks to the incredible staff at The Pines for their heartfelt sympathy and compassion they showed through this difficult time.
