WARRENSBURG --- Evangeline "Eva" Greenmier, 96, of Schroon River Rd., passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015 at Indian River Nursing Center in Granville.
Born July 30, 1919 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Jorgan and Sigruno (Iverson) Welle.
For many years, Eva worked at Arehart's Inn in Stony Creek, now known as 1000 Acres Ranch Resort.
Some of her enjoyments included knitting, word search books, and playing Pokeno.
In addition to her parents, Eva was predeceased by a daughter, Alice Person; and grandson, Henry Greenmier Jr.; and a brother, Tellef Welle.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Vera Combs of Hudson Falls, Carole Barton of Warrensburg, Alexander (Prudy) Greenmier of Warrensburg, and Henry (Sherr) Greenmier of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Desiree (Jack) Wells of Queensbury, Roger (Amanda) Combs Jr. of Fla., John (Anna) Barton and Jennifer and Jessica Barton, all of Warrensburg; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will take place Friday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
