QUEENSBURY --- Fay Rosalie LaFond, 86, passed away on September 4, at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness.
Born January 11, 1938 in Fort Edward, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Doris (LaPoint) Hoag.
Fay graduated from Glens Falls High School, Class of 1957.
She married Benoit F. LaFond in 1985. They enjoyed many happy years together, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Some of her other enjoyments included bowling, knitting, and playing the slots at the casino.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Benoit, Fay was predeceased by a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly (John) Martel, a daughter Tammy Parker, and her beloved dog K.C.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, James (Linda) Rathbun, Penny (Gabe) Paruolo, Robert (Colleen) Rathbun; her grandchildren, Jamie (Mark) Stevens, Brian Rathbun, Brittany (Anthony) Blair, Taylor (Megan) Parker, Alexis (Cameron) Smith, Robert, and Ian Rathbun; her great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jake, Jayden Stevens, Amelia and Oliver Blair, and Bentley Smith; son in law, Kevin Parker; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins, with special mention of Frances and Joe Podnorszki; and good friend, Mickie Baez. She also had three "bonus" children Frank, Alec, and Adam LaFond.
Keeping with Fay's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Per the family's request, donations in Fay's memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice, 1247 Dix Ave, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
