QUEENSBURY --- Florence Lillian Hoague, 92, formerly of Sweet Road, Glens Falls, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012 at Westmount Health Facility.
Born Sept. 8, 1920, in Fort Ann, she was the daughter of the late Jared S. Evens and Julia E. (Kimberly) Evens Crannell.
Florence attended Fort Ann School, and the Glens Falls Academy.
She had the privilege to stay at home to raise her children then worked in the Queensbury School cafeteria retiring after 19 years of dedicated service.
Her memberships included the Queensbury Senior Citizens, and a communicant at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church in Queensbury.
She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Joseph Hoague who passed away June 25, 1986; one son, H. Richard Hoague; a stepson, Joseph A. Hoague; and a half-brother, Howard C. Crannell.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara J. Hoague of Pilot Knob; a son, John J. Hoague and his wife, Becky, of Hartford; 9 grandchildren, with special mention of John J. Hoague II "JJ" and his wife, Nikki, of Kingsbury, and Clarissa Monroe and her husband, Zach of Thurman; two great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Samantha; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Anselment, officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery.
