QUEENSBURY—Floyd P. "Bud" Hartman, 88, of Queensbury, peacefully passed away, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born July 11, 1928, he was the son of the late Louis and Harriet (Ball) Hartman.
He attended school in Glens Falls before he entered in the United States Army in 1950, proudly serving his country during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1952.
For thirty years, Floyd worked in the Converting Department at Finch and Pruyns in Glens Falls.
Some of his enjoyments included fishing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, as well as wood carving and travel.
On February 20, 1951 he married the love of his life, Anita Crete, at St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was predeceased by two brothers, Cliff and Louis Hartman; one sister, Bernadette Hartman; two sisters-in-law, Ceceil Hartman and Jeannette Holmes; and his father- and mother-in-law, Isaac and Melina Crete.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 65 years, Anita Hartman; three children Joanne Wilson, Robert (Karen) Hartman, and Richard (Sue) Hartman; eight grandchildren Nicholas Hartman, Eric (Trista) Hartman, Audrey (Mark) Curtis, Jan (Kenneth) Briere, Heather Wilson, Isaac (Allison) Hartman, Bobbi Jo Hartman, and John Hartman; three great-grandchildren Brian Curtis, Skye Hartman and Lucy Hartman; in-laws June Hartman, Malcolm and Simone Bolton, Roland and Ada Crete; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, August 15 at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home, with Deacon Bill Bazinet officiating.
Burial with military honors will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, August 19 at Pine View Cemetery.
