Obituary

QUEENSBURY -- Francis Henry "Hank" Lemery, 85, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Glens Falls, NY on January 31, 1932 he was the son of Ubald and Grezziella (Simard) Lemery.

Hank attended Glens Falls High School.

For 8 years, he was in the Naval Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1957.

He was employed at Scott Paper Company in Fort Edward for 41 ½ years.

Hank was also a communicant of St. Mary's Church since 1951.

On October 14, 1951 he married Justine Brunelle and in 2016 they celebrated their 65 th anniversary.

He and his wife were always together; they were lifelong best friends. After his retirement, they travelled to Myrtle Beach, SC where they spent 15 winters establishing many friendships there.

Hank was a big fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. He loved following his grandkids sports and enjoyed woodworking. His favorite thing above all, was spending time with his wife and family.

Hank is predeceased by his parents; his brother, Charles Lemery Sr.; sister, Isabelle Pashby; one grandson, Martin Lemery; and one great grandson, Jared Harrington.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his six children, Thomas (Gail) Lemery of Lake Mary Fla., James Lemery (Terri Flewelling) of Hudson Falls, Richard (Brian) Lemery of Tampa, Fla., Joanne Lemery of Queensbury, Lisa (Bridget) Lemery of Ballston Lake, and William Lemery of Queensbury; six grandchildren, Andrea (Jeremy) Harrington of Salem, Timothy Lemery of Altamont, Kristen (Jonathan) Palmer of Gansevoort, Matthew (Michelle) Lemery of Mechanicsville, Kari (Derek) Peters of Hudson Falls, and Joseph Lemery of Ballston Lake; nine great grandchildren, and one more to be born in weeks to come; one sister, Theresa Ellis of Minot, Me; one brother, Andrew (June) Lemery of Vero Beach, Fla.; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, February 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Manerowski, officiating.

Interment will take place in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
