Obituary

HUDSON FALLS --- Frieda Elizabeth Hall, 100, of East LaBarge St., Hudson Falls, and formerly of Queensbury, passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 4, 2014 at The Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queensbury.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1913 the fourth child of nine to George and Augusta (Fourier) Bruce of Warrensburg. She was predeceased by all of her siblings.

She was a graduate of Warrensburg Central School in 1931 and Drake Business School in N.Y.C. in 1933.

On Aug. 31, 1940, she married William "Bill" Henry Hall in Presbyterian Manse in Warrensburg. William died in Nov. 1974 after over 34 years of marriage.

Frieda retired from the office of U.S. Catheter, now know as C.R. Bard, in 1978 as a secretary after many years of dedicated service.

For many years, she was a member of G.F. Senior Citizens and for five years was guide of Chapman Museum. She was an honorary member of the 243 rd Field Artillery Battalion, her husband's WWII outfit.

Frieda loved to travel, as well as garden, and feed and watch birds. She also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader of romance novels.

Survivors include her five children, Billie Cirrincione and her husband, Joseph, of Maryland, Donna Ratzlaff and her husband, John, of Kansas, Gwendolyn McCarthy of Hudson Falls, Bruce Hall of Oneonta, and Debra Wilcox of Queensbury; her grandchildren, Joseph, Victor, and William Cirrincione, Daniel Hamelin, Scott and Kimberly McCarthy, Shannon Sawner, Rachel and Janell Ratzlaff, William and Jolain Hall, and Alan and Megan Wilcox; 16 great-grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At her request, there will be no calling hours.

A private service will be held at a later date by the family.
