Obituary

Gail Brenenstuhl (née Manderville) passed away peacefully after a long illness on November 19th in her Glens Falls home surrounded by family for her last moments. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles (Chuck) Brenenstuhl.

Gail was born in Troy, NY on July 13, 1939 to Bernard and Catherine Manderville. Gail graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1956, and married Charles (Chuck) Brenenstuhl on September 12, 1959. She worked for Marine Midland Bank for 20 years.

She was happiest sitting with a book and a Heineken on a summer afternoon up in Lake George with her husband, daughter, and grandchildren. Gail was an avid reader, wonderful gardener, seamstress, loving homemaker, and scratch baker. She loved taking in animals and had a particular affinity for her Himalayan Persian cats. Gail loved to travel, she visited many places, including Oregon, Washington, California, Yosemite, Hawaii, and Mexico.

Even while battling illness in her later years, she never let it show: she continued making every holiday special for her family, baking pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving, dozens of cookies for Christmas, and the "bunny cake" on Easter. Gail was always fashionably dressed, never without matching jewelry and pins.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Chuck Brenenstuhl; her children, Kim Ferraioli and Keith Brenenstuhl; grandchildren, Chip Ferraioli, Jesse Ferraioli, Reagan Brenenstuhl, and Nathan Brenenstuhl.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the nurses at Warren County Health Department for their warmth and kinship in the recent months.

Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com .
