SOUTH GLENS FALLS --- Gaye (Crothamel) Reardon, 57, went into the hands of the Lord surrounded by her family on Jan. 26, 2018.

Born Oct. 18, 1960 in Darby, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Horace (Bud) and Janet (Young) Crothamel.

Gaye grew up in Glens Falls and lived in South Glens Falls most of her life.

She graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1978.

Gaye worked as a medical biller at Lockhart Chiropractic in Queensbury for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob Reardon; sons, Bob Murray (Nicole) and son, Brendon; Justin Murray (Janey) and their children, Miles and Carmen; siblings, Barbara Sapienza (Richard) and their children, Angela Edwards, Thomas Sapienza, Sabina Harrington and Flora Brodowski; Dorothy Benware (Myron) and children, Trisha Gibson and Cherie White; and Bruce Crothamel (Theresa) and their daughter, Grace; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gaye received the precious gift of a heart through a heart transplant in 2001, a blessing Gaye and her family never took for granted.

Gaye's life revolved around being the best wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandchildren were the light of her life!

She was the first to lend a hand or give you the shirt off her back!

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, Jan. 31 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist, 54 Bay St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.

A casual memorial service will follow at the church at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Meredith Vanderminden officiating.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Pine View Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the transplant doctors and professionals who played a crucial part in adding 16 wonderful years to Gaye's life.
