Obituary

GLENS FALLS --- Gayle Diane Hoffmann, 68, of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 12, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 27, 1946 in Queens, N.Y. she was the daughter of the late Howard T. and Josephine D. (Dow) Hoffmann.

After her retirement from C. R. Bard, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to crochet and made blankets for almost everyone in the family. She also enjoyed her weekly road trips to the casino with her son.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was predeceased by a son, Ronald Paul Bush, that she spoke of often, and also her brother, Howard Hoffmann Jr., and a niece, Jessica Lambert.

Survivors include her son, David R. Desrosiers and his wife, Sheila, of Queensbury; two daughters, Suzanne R. Bush of Lake George, and Shari M. Bush and her fiancé, Johnny Cully, of Arizona; seven grandchildren, Crystal and Jennifer Desrosiers, Terry LaJeunesse Jr., Kira, Kallee, and Samantha Bush, and Saudia Ross; two great-grandchildren, Abbagayle Tripp and Matthew Samora; two sisters, Cynthia Campinell of Maine and Connie Hendry of Colorado; two nieces, Desiree Bassett and Meagan Smith; two nephews, Obadiah Smith and Joseph Lambert; and her longtime friend, Mike Wade.

Friends may call upon the family Friday, July 18, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.

A celebration of life will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with Minister Logan Robertson, Evangelist of Queensbury Church of Christ, officiating.

Her family would like to thank Desiree Bassett for making the long trip from Maine to help her aunt in her time of need.
