BOLTON LANDING --- Genevie A. French, 83, of Second St., Bolton Landing, was called home into the arms of her Lord April 21, 2013 from Fort Hudson Health System in Fort Edward.
Born June 1, 1929 in Lake Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ella (Lewis) Bosford.
Genevie graduated from Lake Luzerne School. When she met Arnold French at a dance, it was love at first sight. He even walked from Bolton to Lake Luzerne to see her and they were married in 1950 at Bolton Episcopal Church.
Genevie loved the color red, and spending time with her cats, as well as other people in general, and above all, she loved her family. She also enjoyed babysitting children, about 50 in Bolton, and always had love in her heart.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Arnold French; her children, Thomas A. French and his wife, Gloria, Sharlene DeLorenzo, Marsha Monthony, Brenda Lorenz, and Lisa French and her husband, Bernie; grandchildren, Jodi, Kiley, Tommy II, Kaila, Dalton, Danielle, Alex, and Ruth; also several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the Bolton Episcopal Church columbarium.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to staff in the G wing at Fort Hudson Health System for their loving care. They were like angels to her family.
