QUEENSBURY --- Geoffrey Michael Hill, 37, of West Mountain Rd., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at his home.
Born Sept. 1, 1979 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Amelia (Holmquist) Hill and the late William R. Hill.
Geoff graduated from Glens Falls High School, Class of 1998, and later attended Adirondack Community College.
On Jan. 13, 2007, he married Ashley Brann at St. Alphonsus Church in Glens Falls.
He enjoyed collecting antiques and was an expert at betting horses. He was an avid golfer and taught many friends to love the game the way that he did. He enjoyed spending time with his best friend, Adam Baker.
With his father, Geoff successfully climbed all 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks before the age of 13.
Above all, he loved spending time with his family, playing with and watching his most adored daughter's softball games, as well as holding his precious infant son and getting him to smile and laugh.
In addition to his father, Geoff was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 10 years, Ashley (Brann) Hill; their two treasured children; Madison Hill and baby William Hill; his mother, Amelia (Holmquist) Hill; a sister, Kelly (Rick) Preston; a niece, Ashley Wagner; a nephew, Ryan Preston; also his beloved dog, Sophie, and beloved cat, Simon.
Calling hours will take place Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Guy A. Childs, pastor of St. Michael's Church, officiating.
A graveside service will take place in the spring at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Queensbury.
In loving memory of Geoff, contributions may be made to his children at any Glens Falls National Bank in the Madison and William Hill Benefit Fund.
