QUEENSBURY --- George E. Dunphy, 85, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Born November 6, 1940, in Jobstown, New Jersey he was the son of Francis and Isabell (Smith) Dunphy.

George worked for West Mountain Sales and the Lely Corp, and served in the United States Army from 1959 until 1963. He enjoyed fixing old cars.

George married Rita J. McWilliams in 1963, and they were divorced in 2002.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by several brothers and a sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, George Dunphy Jr. of Argyle, Karen (Tim) Baker of South Glens Falls, and Gerald (Crystal) Dunphy of South Barre, Vermont; grandchildren, Chris Baker, Jon Dunphy, Casey Dunphy, Jake Dunphy, and Alicia Bartlett; sister, Flo (Combs) Olden; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, with a memorial service at 1 p.m.

A graveside ceremony will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd, Queensbury.
