LAKE GEORGE — George E. Green III, 35, was born Jan. 31, 1979, at home in Lake George and passed away May 13, 2014, in Lviv, Ukraine, from complications from severe injuries after a truck hit him while he was walking to his apartment in Lviv.
He is now in the loving arms of God Almighty.
George was baptized in St. Basil's Russian Orthodox Church in Watervliet, where he was also married to Lyudmila. George and Lyudmila have a son, George E. Green IV. They shared many happy years and loved to travel together.
George will truly be missed by all his friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and was very talented musically and artistically, creating beautiful animation.
George was a professional web/computer programmer. He also worked as a journalist with computing, financial and political publications since 1997. He wrote contributing editorials for MacWorld, MacRelations, ThessaSource and Pravada, to name a few. Early in his career, he worked in applications support and was an analyst for Tribune Media Services.
George graduated from Lake George Central School, Class of 1997.
His paternal grandparents, George and Sally Green of Lake George, and maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Alive Clements of Glens Falls, predeceased George.
George is survived by Lyudmila Green and their son, George E. Green IV; his parents, George and Janie (Clements) Green II; his brothers, Robert Roy Green, Myron Benjamin Green, William Clements Green and Samuel David Green; as well as many aunts, uncles and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28 at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fr. Philip Begley, pastor of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in South Glens Falls, officiating.
Burial will follow at Quaker Friend's Cemetery, Ridge Rd., Queensbury.
