QUEENSBURY-Gerald "Jerry" Nussbaum, 74, of Queensbury passed away unexpectedly June 9, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital in the presence of his loving family.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Jerry was born on August 29, 1941, the only son of Manney and Florence (Bell) Nussbaum. He served proudly in the United States Army from July 27, 1961 being honorably discharged July of 1963. He was a member of the Queensbury American Legion Post No. 1797.
Jerry married his soulmate Louise Feuer on May 27, 1963.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Scott (Dianna) and Erik (Diane), and four grandchildren, Jason, Kaitlyn, Maximillian, and Connor, all of Queensbury.
Jerry loved spending time with his grandkids, working on his model train collection, watching the New England Patriots, and the New York Yankees. Most of all, he hated strawberries!
Per Jerry's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Burial, with military honors, will be private at the convenience of the family at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
