Glens Falls, NY – Ginger Marie Langdon, 41, after a lifetime of illness related to diabetes and kidney disease, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her family in prayer and worship.
Born November 11, 1970, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Carol L. (Harder) Corlew and
Thomas L. Corlew.
Ginger worked at Finch Paper in the Engineering Department before becoming too ill to work full time. As she fought back to gain her independence, she trained for a new career and attended SUNY Adirondack College and received an Associate's degree in Health Information Technology and she worked for both a local physician and at Glens Falls Hospital.
Ginger owned the Collector's Garden in Queensbury where she shared her lifetime passion for collectables with her customers, she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her mother during the work hours creating displays for Precious Moments. She and her sister also had a successful craft business, Adirondack Critters and enjoyed traveling to events and doing birthday parties for young children. As a long time volunteer working with many organizations, Ginger enjoyed being a blessing to others. She also was a member and Treasurer of the TOPS Group in Fort Edward.
Survivors include her mother, Carol Corlew of Glens Falls; her father, Thomas Corlew and her step-mother, Ramona Corlew, of Hudson Falls; her sister, Natalie Williams and three children, Ginger Williams and Garrett Williams of Corinth, and Keleigh Tyler and her husband, Jason, of Guilderland. She is also survived by her brother, James Flynn and his finance, Robin Harrington-Cheney, of Queensbury; a step-sister, Erin Welch of Warrensburg; her cousin and best friend, Ginny Gibbs, as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call upon the family Wednesday, July 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, July 19, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Royal Frase, Elder of Church the Nations in Hadley, officiating.
Burial will follow at Ft. Ann Cemetery.
Friends are invited to join Ginger's family for a gathering to celebrate her life in the Community Room at the Village Green Apartments, 1 South Delaware, Glens Falls, after leaving the cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Ginger's physician Dr. Joseph Mihindu, for the more than two decades of care.
