GLENS FALLS --- Gladys Virginia Grassick, 85, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness on October 7, 2019.

Gladys was born on July 28, 1934 in Keene Valley, NY, to the late Roy and Isabel (Manley) Alden.

On June 11, 1971, she married A. Robert Grassick in Hudson Falls, NY.

Throughout her life, Gladys enjoyed music, especially playing guitar and singing. She also had a love being outdoors, walking and hiking, with a special appreciation for animals.

She was a member of the Glens Falls Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and spent many years teaching others about the Bible and discussing her faith.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her son, Duane Kim; and her brother, Howard Alden.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Vera Alden and Anne Smith; her sister-in-law, Gloria Alden, along with several extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the Glens Falls Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Road, Queensbury.
