Gloria
Monroe
Mar 14, 1940 — Dec 27, 2025
On December 27, 2025, Gloria Monroe, age 85, passed away from this life to the unfailing memory
of her God, Jehovah, with the prospect of being resurrected to life again in the earthly paradise God
has promised.
Gloria dedicated her life to Jehovah on April 4, 1964, and symbolized that dedication through water
baptism. She remained true to that vow throughout her life.
Gloria was a loving wife, mother, and loyal friend. One of her proudest achievements was that her
children followed her example in devoting their lives to Jehovah's service as well. In addition, she
helped many others to serve God alongside her. She loved calling on people in the door-to-door
ministry and studying the Bible with those who were receptive. Her commitment to these ones did
not end at their baptism but continued beyond that, helping them with whatever challenges came up
in their lives.
Gloria had many friends and was a good friend in return. She was a generous person who firmly
believed in the Bible principle that there is more happiness in giving than in receiving. She had been
a member of the Glens Falls, NY Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 60 years and very
seldom missed their weekly meetings. She touched many lives in a beneficial way, and during her
final days, so many of them visited to say their farewells.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Alan, of 65 years; their son, David, and his wife, Tawny; sister-in-
law, Janet Brady; brother-in-law, Bill Cartier; and a number of nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was
predeceased by her beloved daughter, Linda, who died earlier this year.
Gloria felt she had a happy and productive life and looked forward to an earthly resurrection where a
perfect and healthy life forever will be the norm.
A memorial service will be held on January 24, 2026 @ 1:00PM at the Glens Falls Congregation of
Jehovah's Witnesses, 81 Mohican St, Glens Falls, NY 12804.
