GLENS FALLS -- Former Norwalk,Conn. resident Gloria Venon, 77,died June 10, 2016, at the home of her husband's daughter in Glens Falls, N.Y.

Gloria Thelma Kraus was born on July 19, 1938 to Joseph Kraus and Lillian Tepper. She was born and raised in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx.

In 1956, Gloria married Howard Mittleman and gave birth to two sons, Jeffrey and Craig.

In 1978, she would once again marry; this time to Claude Venon with whom she would spend the rest of her life.

Claude and Gloria spent most of their lives together in South Norwalk, CT. During her life, Gloria owned and operated an interior plant design business. She loved gardens and had a unique ability to make all things beautiful.

Gloria was a voracious reader having read hundreds of books of literature in the course of a lifetime.

In her spare time, she would volunteer reading books to needy children in schools and day-care centers in Norwalk.

She was a dedicated wife as well as a caring mother and grandmother.Her life was not expressed in terms of a symphony, but rather as a concerto whose musical tones shall resonate within all of us who dearly loved her.

She is survived by her spouse of 38 years, Claude Venon; two sons, Jeffrey and Craig; three grandchildren, Lily, Jackson and Antoni; a sister, Myra Carnazza; a cousin Fay, and extended family and friends.

At the moment, there is no service to be held. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined.
