QUEENSBURY — Grace Ellen (Smith) Riley, 59, of Aviation Road, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.
Born Oct. 6, 1955, in Niskayuna, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Mary (Dressel) Smith.
She was a graduate of Burnt Hills High School.
On Sept. 23, 1988, Grace married Mark Riley in Milton, and this past year they celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary.
Grace was a residential aide working in home health care. When she wasn't caring for others, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In her spare time, she enjoyed music, puzzles and cooking with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Mark Riley of Queensbury; her children, Matthew Putnam of Beaufort, South Carolina, Nathan Putnam of Queensbury, Maureen (Shawn) Antalek of Watervliet, Marissa Hicks of Glens Falls, Amanda Riley of Green Island and Mark Jr. of Queensbury; four grandchildren, Morgan Putnam of Beaufort, South Carolina, Justin and Jackson Hicks, both of Glens Falls, and Bailey Antalek of Watervliet; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved pet, Lola.
A calling hour will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A memorial service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.
