QUEENSBURY --- Harrison A. Dark, 89, of Queensbury died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at the Glens Falls Hospital of Congestive Heart Failure with family by his side.

Born Oct. 22, 1923 in Glens Falls. He was the son of Howard and Lillian (Mercready) Dark.

Harry was a life long resident of the Glens Falls and Queensbury area. He was a graduate of Glens Falls High School.

Harry married Shirley Perry of Hudson Falls in 1946. She passed in 1988.
In addition to his parents and wife he was also predeceased by his brother Richard Dark in 1979.

He retired as a switchman for New York Telephone after over 40 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, going to dinner and especially camping and trips to Florida.

Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Dark and his wife Marcy of Queensbury, his grandchildren, Christopher Dark of Queensbury and Kimberly Dark of Palm Bay, FL.; and his daughter Cheryl Dark of Waterville, VT.

Friends may call upon the family Thursday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.

The family would like to thank the Glens Falls Hospital Tower 6 and ER, the C. R. Wood Cancer Center, The Emeritus at the Landing, and Ft. Hudson Nursing Home for the wonderful care and compassion Harry and his family received over the past months.
