GLENS FALLS -- Hazel (Brumfield) Richardson ; 83, of Magnolia, MS, New Orleans, LA and longtime resident of Glens Falls passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2015 at her home in Belzoni, MS after a long Illness.

Hazel was born in Magnolia, MS on October 16, 1931. She was daughter to late Janet Brumfield.

After the death of her Sister, Alberta Magee in 1966, Hazel raised her five Nephews; Alton Magee of Glens Falls, NY and Theodore Magee of Mobile, AL (who preceded her), Willie Magee of Belzoni, MS; Leroy Magee (Kristine) of Glens Falls, NY; Joseph Magee of Las Vegas, NV; her niece, Hazel Johnson of Atlanta, GA. Hazel continued growing her family of friends as a Bartender in New Orleans and traveled across the United States to visit many family and friends throughout her life.

Known to many as "Aunt" or "Grandma" Hazel, she volunteered 5 years as Foster Grandparent with Warren County Head Start in Glens Falls, NY. She looked forward to sharing her time helping with the children and supporting the teachers with daily activities throughout the school years.

Hazel was devoted to family and friends of the communities she has served. With her loving support, she opened her home to many friends in need, hungry or to those who wanted someone to talk to.
