Heather Marie
Rainbow
Feb 15, 1981 — Feb 1, 2025
It is with grave sadness, the announcing of the passing of Heather Marie Rainbow, born in Glens Falls on February 15, 1981. Heather left our world far too soon, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Heather passed on February 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, for a new life that she full heartedly believed existed beyond ours.
Heathers life and her story, lives deeply in the hearts of all whom she left behind. In the hearts of her siblings, her cherished nieces and nephews, her family, and her friends. In the hearts of all whom were lucky enough to have had time with her here on this sweet earth.
Heather was known for her easy going but feisty spirit, her contagious smile and laughter, for her love and compassion for humans of all backgrounds but most of all, she was known for her strength, her ability to stand tall in moments of trial, with a smile on her face and willingness to try again, which will forever be her legacy that lives on.
Heather had a great love for theatre and haunting, a passion she carried with her for the entirety of her life. She loved the simple things in life, like fresh air and spending quiet time in nature, where she always felt at peace, as well as an immense love for her nieces and nephews, whom she called her babies.
Heather is survived by her mother, Robin Combs; many siblings, Ricky Rainbow, Rachel Rainbow, Rebecca Rainbow, Ruthie Rainbow, Reanna Rainbow, Joshua Casto, Savannah Casto, Angel Casto and Jase Casto; nieces and nephews, Lilly, Elena, Persephone, Liam, Blake, and JJ; and her best friend Brooke Schiher (who was her person).
Heather was not a woman that asked much of anyone and in respect of her wishes, no services will be held in her honor. Her departure has been deeply felt in her family and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Randy's patient assistance fund at glens falls hospital, 100 Park St, Glens Falls, NY 12801, or the women against cancer fund ride locally. It is also requested that memories be shared, so her beautiful spirit continues to live on as her loved one's transition into life without her.
Condolences may be sent directly to Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804, or through www.bakerfuneralhome.com.
