GLENS FALLS --- Herbert Joseph Lewis III, 49, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2024.

Born September 22, 1974, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Herbert J. Lewis, Jr. and Nancy A. (Vadnais) Lewis.

Herb graduated from Hudson Falls High School. He was the owner and operator of Breña Custom Carpentry in Glens Falls, where he was well known for his custom trim work.

He was married to Donnah Digan-Lewis.

Some of his enjoyments in life were fishing, karaoke, bowling, pickleball, golf, camping, being in the wilderness, disc golf, hiking (especially Prospect Mountain), sports (he was a high school all-star baseball player), Lake Vanare cabins, lightening bugs, and bonfires. His two daughters were his greatest accomplishment in life. He was very proud of the young women they are growing into.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Donnah Digan-Lewis; daughters, Breña Digan Lewis (19) and Graecen Digan Lewis (14); parents, Herbert J. Lewis, Jr. and Nancy V. Lewis; sister, Ashelly Lewis; brother, Ehren J. Lewis and his wife, Jessica (Blaine) Lewis; in-law, Claudette J. Hill (Koko); several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, including Hannah Lewis, and Owen Lewis of Voorheesville; and his beloved cat, Ceasar.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Marc Eaton officiating.

There will be a gathering at the Lewis Family Home in Fort Ann.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Herb's friends and family for the support and comfort they shared with him. Herb was a good man and was loved by many.
