HADLEY -- Howard W. Mosher, 86, of Hadley, died Tuesday October 2, 2018 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on November 24, 1931 in Hadley, he was the son of the late George and Katie (Hill) Mosher.
Howard retired from International Paper Company in Corinth in 1993 after 38 years of employment.
He was an active or life member of many organizations including West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company since 1960; Hudson Valley Firemen's Association; Red Vest; NYS Fire Police Association; Washington County Fire Police Association; Lake Luzerne Conservation Rod and Gun Club; past president for many years of Warren County Conservation Council; Adirondack Conservation Council; Adirondack Hunting Club and the Adirondack A's Model A Ford Club and a communicant of The Community Church of Conklingville. Howard was an outdoorsman with hunting camps in Brant Lake and Sherburne, NY. He was often seen in parades and old car shows with his prized 1930 Model A.
Survivors include his one daughter, Cynthia Warner (John); and 2 grandsons, Garrett and Devon Warner of Halfmoon; second wife of 23 years, Beatrice (Millington) Mosher of Hadley; 4 stepdaughters, Karilee Chandler (John) of Corinth; Sheree Vosburgh (Tim) of Benson; Teri Valenti of Troy and Stacy Mason (Tom) of Springfield, Mass; one brother, Ralph Mosher of Corinth; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by first wife of 38 years, Dorothy (Skellie) Mosher; and 2 brothers, George Mosher and Wilbur Mosher.
Calling hours will be held Friday, October 5 from 10 AM to noon at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.
Services will be conducted at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Phil Allen of The Community Church of Conklingville officiating.
Burial will immediately follow at the West Glens Falls Cemetery at the corner Main St. and Media Drive in Queensbury.
All are invited to a celebration of life at the West Glens Falls Fire Company, 33 Luzerne Road, Queensbury after the burial.
