FLORIDA -- James Allen, 65, of Valrico, Florida, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Kindred Hospital.

Born Jan. 7, 1950 in Glens Falls, he was the son of William and June (Haskins) Allen.

For many years, he worked at All Children's Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

In addition grandparents, he was predeceased by a sister, Pamela, and brothers, Donald and Steven.

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Kristie Plain of Riverview, Fla.; his parents, William and June Allen; two sons, James Allen of Bath, N.Y., and Michael Allen of Corning, N.Y.; grandchildren, Mathew Dalby and Hunter Allen, of Bath, N.Y., Brian Gable, Brianna Allen , Brittney Allen, and Brenden Allen all of Corning, N.Y.; a sister, Cynthia Lemery of Queensbury; three brothers, Edward (Elizabeth) Allen of Queensbury, William (Antoinette) Allen of Glens Falls, and Christopher Allen of Queensbury; also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At his request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.

A graveside service will take place Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury.

Friends are invited to join the family following his burial at 10 Lupine Lane, Queensbury.
