QUEENSBURY --- James I. Davis, 76, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born April 12, 1947, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Howard and Mildred Davis.
He married the love of his life, Evelyn in Saratoga on September 27, 1967.
James was employed for 38 years as a therapy aide for the state; starting his career at Mt. McGregor, moving to Wilton Developmental Center, and then went to Housing on Sherman.
Some of his enjoyments in life were gardening, watching the birds, and spending time with family.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Beth and Shirley; brother, Howard; and great-grandchildren, Hailey James Dickinson and Alex Marks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Samantha (Danny) Condon of Queensbury, Christina Ball of Gansevoort, and Tonya (Ed) Mitchell of Corinth; grandchildren, Anthony (Tiffany) Marks, Justin Davis, Ashley McQuain (Mike), Denise Heil, David McQuain, Sarah Ward, and Karlee Ball (Matt); great-grandchildren, Kierin, Kayden, Aubrey, Parker, Kole, Sammy, Emmett, Jonah, and Mason; sister, Patricia Young; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Josh and Austin on Tower 6 Telemetry and Christopher on 2nd who made his final hours with us more comforting.

James will be missed by many, especially his wife of 56 years, Evelyn, who sat by his side until the end, saying "I would marry you all over again." The love they shared was truly timeless.
