Obituary

James Joseph Morris, Ill, 82, born February 5, 1943, died Monday, July 28, 2025 at home, in Wevertown, NY, surrounded by family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to Jane Covert O'Brien Morris and Erwin Francis Morris, I.

He had many jobs and adventures, including winning several lawsuits to get the Adirondack Park Agency to approve his non-jurisdictional subdivision for his children and future grandchildren, but there were two things he was most proud of, being a husband and a father. He married Joan Patricia Byrnes on December 16, 1967, in Forest Hills, NY. They were married for 57 ½ years.

Together they had ten children, James Joseph Morris IV and his wife, Deborah, Kayleen Campion and her husband, Mark, Jeanne Bohan, Erin Feliz-Morris and her husband, Manny, Kelley Morris-Millington and her husband, Earl, Megan Morris, Erwin Morris Il and his wife, Rebecca, Joseph Morris and his wife, Ronda, Courtney Millington and her husband, Derek, and Jane Morris, II.

He was very proud of his twenty-three grandchildren, Timothy Brendan Bohan, Shannon Jeanne Bohan, Sarah Elizabeth Morris, Liam Patrick Campion, Victoria Lynn Anderson, Sabrina Marie Bohan, James Joseph Morris V, Kayleen Jane Campion, Kevin William Bohan, Lynden O'Brien Millington, Bridget Mary Campion, Daphne Lynne Millington, Ryan Padraic Morris, Gage Michael Morris, Julia Grace Morris, Aidan Mikael Millington, Stephen Joseph Millington, Colin Patrick Morris, Reagan Denise Morris, Vidal Erwin Feliz-Morris, Emmanuel Legend Feliz-Morris, Erin Reilly Feliz-Morris and Finnegan Joseph Morris.

James is also survived by his brother, Deacon Robert E. Morris, his wife, Regina Morris, and their children.

Calling hours will be held Friday, August 1, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury, NY 12804.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of The Annunciation Church, 448 Aviation Road, Queensbury, NY 12804.

Jim expressed profound gratitude for all the help given to him in his final days by his three daughters, Kelley, Megan and Jane, especially Megan.
