PLATTSBURGH --- Jane Rozell Nichols, 87, passed away on Nov. 4, 2012 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, NY.
Born Sept. 12, 1925 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (LaPoint) Rozzell. A graduate of Glens Falls High School, Jane married Edgar G. Nichols on June 1, 1946, in Glens Falls. Jane had the priviledge of being a homemaker, enjoying time spent time with her family. She also enjoyed baking, reading, and knitting, and was a member of St. Alphonsus Church.
In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband, Edgar G. Nichols, and five brothers, Don, Bill, Jack, Peter and Wayne Rozell.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Nichols; a son, James Nichols; a grandson, Michael Nichols; three sisters, Mary Havens, Shirley Bush and Nancy Lundquest; two brothers, Bob and Richard Rozell; and also several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church in Ft. Edward, with the Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, and Deacon Bill Bazinet, officiating.
Interment will follow at Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd., Queensbury.
