QUEENSBURY --- Janet St. John, 92, of Queensbury, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Adirondack Manor.
Born Sept. 19, 1921 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lula (Jenkins) Fleming.
Janet and her husband, Albert St. John, spent 63 wonderful years together until his passing in 2001.
Janet had the privilege of staying home and raising her children. She loved spending birthdays and holidays with family and summer cookouts. She cherished spending her last year and a half with friends, especially Virginia, at Adirondack Manor. Some of her other enjoyments included jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading.
Janet was very spunky and outgoing. Everyone enjoyed being around her. She was willing to try anything, even riding a four wheeler for the first time at age 84.
In addition to her parents, and her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie St. John.
Survivors include her two children, Bonnie (Joel) Holden, and Joseph (Irene) St. John Sr.; 10 grandchildren, Melanie (Mark) Collier, Lee-Ann McCane (Greg Lapann), Nicole Locke (Mert Weatherwax), Kelly St. John (Robbie Gates), Tammy Beach, James St. John, Wendy Danio, Tina Anderson, Joseph St. John Jr., and Thomas St. John; several great-grandchildren, with special mention of Aiden, Hailey, Logan, Hannah, Skyler, and Charlee; several great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her grandpets, Emma and Willow.
Calling hours will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury. Members of Queensbury Central Vol. Fire Dept. will be performing a brief ceremony for Janet during the calling hours.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Flossie Gage Bates officiating.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Union Cemetery in Ft. Edward.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Adirondack Manor for their great care they gave to Janet. She loved everyone there. And also to Dr. Cunningham for years of dedicated service. "We know she gave you a rough time at times, but she adored you."
