Jan graduated from Holy Family High School in Union City, New Jersey. She was a lifelong learner and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Empire College in Albany. For many years, she was a Tupperware Manager where she enjoyed meeting new people, training others and had the opportunity to travel. Later, she utilized her accounting degree at P.C. Richards in Long Island. Jan took pride in participating in various organizations throughout her life. She and her husband John were members of Marriage Encounter and loved to country dance. She took great pride managing the kids leagues at Brentwood Youth Organization and being a Girl Scout Leader. Later in life she participated in the Red Hats, Lake George Garden Club and the Pool League at Moreau Community Center. She also greatly enjoyed being part of the community of seniors with Queensbury Seniors, Glens Falls Seniors and Moreau Seniors, where she greatly enjoyed the activities, events and trips.

Janice has been blessed with many friends along life's journey. She has also been very grateful to all the wonderful people in the medical community she encountered especially those who cared for her at The Renal Center in Glens Falls, her doctors and caregivers.

In addition to her parents, Jan was predeceased by her brother, Russel Kuntz.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, John Urban; her children, Thomas Urban and wife Mary, Dawn Sacco and husband Ernie; her grandchildren, Heather, Anthony, Catherine, Grace, Mary, Matthew, and Caroline; and her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will take place Wednesday, May 31, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St. in Queensbury.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Bazinet officiating.

Internment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road in Schuylerville.
