Obituary

Jeanette Ippisch-Keon passed away on March 30, 2025, surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of brilliance, compassion, and laughter. Born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1970, at Clara Maass Hospital in Belleville, New Jersey, Jeanette brought warmth and light to everyone she encountered.

An exceptionally accomplished woman, Jeanette graduated high school early and earned her associate's degree by the age of 18. She went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Eckerd College, a Masters of Science from Cal State Northridge, and a Masters in Education from San Jose State University with a focus on administration and supervision. She began her career as a middle school science teacher, where her passion for learning and generosity of spirit inspired countless students.

In 2001, Jeanette and her husband, Tim Keon, along with her brother, Jay Ippisch, made the leap into business ownership, purchasing a beachside hotel in Daytona Beach. For 13 years, they poured their energy into creating a welcoming, family-run destination, carrying on Jeanette's family legacy in the hospitality industry. More recently, they moved to Lake George, New York, where Jeanette dedicated herself to helping her parents and family manage the family business, Alpine Village Resort. Over the past five years, she was instrumental in its operations and took great pride in continuing its legacy. She also served as the primary caregiver for her mother, Lillian, offering daily care with love, strength, and unwavering dedication.

Jeanette and Tim also fulfilled another dream; restoring their beloved fixer-upper just blocks from the shores of Lake George. With creativity, hard work, and love, they turned it into a home that reflected their shared joy and spirit.

Jeanette was a lover of life's simple and meaningful things: rescuing animals, tending to her garden, and making people laugh with her sharp wit and humor. Her kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Keon; her parents, Ernest and Lillian Ippisch; her sister Carolyn Harrington and brother-in-law Timothy Harrington; her brother Jason Ippisch and sister-in-law Marie Josee Ippisch; her niece Katherine Harrington; and nephews Zachary Ippisch and William Harrington. She is deeply loved and will be remembered always.

A celebration of Jeanette's extraordinary life will be held in early summer in Lake George, a place she loved fiercely and called home.
