Obituary

GLENS FALLS – Jennifer Claire Swallow, 46, of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at home.

Born August 24, 1970 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Fones of Riparius and the late Christine Norton of Glens Falls.

She graduated from Bolton Central High School in 1988 then attended the College of Saint Rose where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education and Psychology.

Jennifer worked as a home visitor for Washington County Head Start in Hudson Falls.

She married Brian Swallow in Lake George on September 5, 1992.

Jennifer enjoyed arts and crafts, target shooting along with competition shooting. She loved visiting Hampton Beach every summer and spending time with her family and friends, whom she loved very much. We are thankful for all the loving advice and lessons Jennifer gave to us. She touched so many lives and so many people are better for knowing her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, Dustin Alexander, her mother-in-law, Donna Ulrichs and her beloved dog, Shadow.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Brian, daughter, Ashlee, father-in-law, Thomas Ulrichs of Bolton Landing, sister-in-law, LeeAnn Ulrichs and her companion, Dean Francis and their son Myles Lee Francis of Idaho, brother, Charles Fones and his wife, Lisa and their sons, Chas and Zachary of Glens Falls, sister, Rebecca Mills and her children, Amanda, Joshua, Brandon & Sydney of Glens Falls, brother, Daniel Fones and his companion, Lisa Williams and their children, Tanya, Chrystal, Angie and Jimmy of Chestertown, and Daniel's son, Andrew of BoltonLanding, aunts Pat Parker and Laura Zink, many aunts, uncles and cousins along with her faithful four-legged companions, Boo Boo, Max and Smudge.

Family and friends may call on Jennifer's family from 2 to 4 pm, Thursday, July 20, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury, NY 12804.

A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 4 pm with the Rev. Benjamin Booth officiating at the funeral home.

If you would like, please wear something purple in honor of her favorite color.

Due to her husband's ongoing struggle with cancer, donations may be sent in Jennifer's loving memory to Charles R. Wood Cancer Treatment Center, 102 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801, or to Baker Funeral Home to help defray expenses.

The family wishes to thank the Glens Falls Police Department, especially Officer John Norton and his partner along with Detective Peter Casertino, for their care and compassion as well as, Jennifer's family and friends for the love and support they have given.
