SARATOGA SPRINGS-- Jerry P. Brown, 73, a long time resident of Saratoga Springs, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born Feb. 23, 1944, he was the son of the late Mabel (Whitten) Brown Tarentelli, and Paul Brown, and the stepson of Anthony Tarentelli.

He grew up in Glens Falls, and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School.

Jerry married the love of his life, Jean Ann Chadwick, on Sept. 11, 1965. They were married 37 years until her passing.

He was the owner and operator of Getty in the village of Ballston Spa, and Itty Bitty Flower Mart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Steve (Patti) Brown of Whitehall, Lisa (Rick) Couse of Gansevoort, John (Nancy) Brown of Burnt Hills, and Anthony (Lindsey) Brown of Saratoga; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Candy (John) Morabito, and Sue (Rick) Hartman; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will take place, Thursday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

A graveside service will follow at Pine View Cemetery.
