GLENS FALLS-Joan A. Ludemann, 76, of Fulton Street, Glens Falls, passed away suddenly, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at her home.
Born June 26, 1936 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Lillian Stevens.
Shortly after graduating from Glens Falls High, Joan enlisted in the United States Army being honorably discharged August of 1960.
She worked in the telephone communications industry in the Glens Falls area for many years.
Her enjoyments included baking, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, her husband, Ward "Walter" Ludemann, one sister, Midge, and two brothers, Bob and Gordon predeceased her.
Survivors include one son, Andrew Stevens of Glens Falls; three grandchildren, Michael Stevens of Hudson Falls, Sarah Stevens and her significant other, Mike, of Queensbury, and Clare Stevens of Glens Falls; two great-grandchildren, Bridget and Layla; also many dear friends.
At her request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Friends may join the family for a graveside ceremony on Monday, August 27, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
